Studying Law in MMU

Hello! I received quite some questions on studying law in MMU these days so I decided to write a post about my experience and some "tips" for taking law in MMU.

Climbing Mount Kinabalu

I wrote a bucket list on this blog before and I said I wanted to climb Mount Kinabalu before I turn 19 (or before 2016 ended) and I partly did it!

Bye Foundation! Hi Trimester Break!

Unofficially done with my pre-uni studies!

Finished our last paper on Thursday and I'm breathing easier now. But that won't be long. I'll be moving forward to my Degree in Law by end of June given that I passed all my subjects.

I'll be flying back home soon and I still haven't pack nor plan activities for this break. I do, however, have plans for the end of my break, and I'm super excited about it! :D

So I went through one year of pre-law education... 3 Trimesters of emotions, activities, people. I just have to go through 4 more of this and I'll be off to really spread my wings.

To be frank, I'm looking forward to the end of my time in MMU because of reasons. I know I should appreciate my time here and fully immerse myself in this experience, a graduating friend told me to enjoy my uni life tremendously coz I'll only get one shot at this. Well I guess just because I want this to end doesn't mean I don't enjoy myself now. I do. I join clubs, hang out with friends, stay up late for random things, eating at mamak at 3am, roadtrips... I do enjoy my life now. But yeah, thinking of the loans I'd rake up by the end of this 4 years gives me panic attacks and makes me stressed out about getting First Class Honours so I won't have to repay PTPTN. It's hard and in a way beyond my control, but I HAVE to try and do my best. The only problem is that I'm pretty sure if I failed to achieve what I want, I'll feel like I didn't give my best, or that my best just isn't enough.

I guess I'm just scared of the feeling of failing myself.

But HEY! Sem Break is here and I can unwind for nearly a month so I should be happy!

Here's to a marvelous sem break with amazing memories (and photographs as keepsake!)!

I FINALLY GOT A CAMERA!

Another 2016 Goal Ticked!

I've always wanted to own a Mirrorless or DSLR Camera to basically document my life in higher image quality HAHA coz my iPhone 4S's camera is tad faulty and all pictures taken with it are blurry with grayish tint.

So I went on Carousell and did my survey. Man I looked through all the listings for about 2-3 months? And I finally settled on a Pentax Q10!

No, I've never heard of Pentax before. I chose this just because the seller was selling it at a mere RM400!!!! She had it at 500 but subsequently reduced it to 400. Other sellers selling similar product are all selling at minimum RM789 and this is the lowest so far.

I was worried that it might be a scam or the product might be faulty beyond repair, but the seller sounded quite honest AND IT WAS ONLY RM400 INCLUDING POSTAGE! So I took a gamble and transferred her the money.

Received my camera on 28/04/2016 and I was over the moon!

Camera quite user friendly once I got used to it.

It's only 12.4MP but pictures taken look more or less similar to a DSLR I guess? Idk I'm no expert haha. But I am satisfy with the result :)

Battery power is quite bad tho but oh well.

I'm still pleased with this steal so I don't have too much complaints.

Here are some unedited sample photos of the Pentax Q10!

30/04/2016 BB1M Book Haul!
The books were placed on my desk which is next to a window. I took this picture from the direction of the lighting.
Taken in my dim room with fluorescent light on.
Taken in my room at night so zero natural lighting. I think I jacked up the exposure on camera to +1.

I do realize the photos seems tad washed out but I'm good with it as I always edit my pictures prior to posting them anyway!

All in all, I'm pleased that I got this tiny mirrorless! I do plan to upgrade to a decent DSLR or at least a Sony A6000 in the future, but for now, I think this fun-size baby can serve me well :D
